Creating a 3D image brings together different skills using both creative and technical knowledge.
Studying photographers and artists work is a tried and tested way to learn about composition. I continue to do this, probably to the point of obsession!
If composition within images is a topic that interests or intrigues, the work of Tavis Leaf Glover - also known as Canon of Design by IPOX Studios - is a great resource to dive into.
'...If you're a huge fan of the rule of thirds, no worries...I was too...but it never helped my compositions. I set out to find the most powerful design techniques, and find them I did!...' Tavis Leaf Glover
His videos fuelled my understanding of the part composition plays within an image - the placing of objects, of lighting and of colour. Beginning to learn about dynamic symmetry really freed up my approach and I like to think improved the composition within the images I create.
Every time I watch another video (usually more than once) or read one of the articles I learn a bit more. Creating 3D images for projects is a pure joy, every image is different. It’s a job that you never bore of and never stop learning from.
